What is your favorite MAC makeup product?

macOkay here is a question for all of you! What is your favorite MAC makeup product? Please be specific.
Example: not just lipstick, but lipstick in sunsational from the style warriors collection.

I love satin taupe eyeshadow! it looks beautiful on everyone. With this one shadow and some smoulder eye kohl (another fave) you can get the perfect 5 minute smokey eye! I also love the 182 brush and MSF natural. Its so hard to pick just one product. Oh and underaged lipglass and the 217 brush!

I actually have 3 absolute favorites so far: Studio Finish Concealer SPF 35, Lipglass in She’s a Star from the Honey Collection, and MAC Fix + Rose (was limited edition)

Does it cost money to get your makeup done at MAC ?

For Homecoming, my friends and I want to go get our makeup done all-out at the MAC counter at Nordstrom’s or at Sephora. My mom and I are huge MAC customers and wear basically all-MAC makeup, so I would have no problem buying a product from them, but I just wanted to know if either of them charge money for “makeovers” or just reccommend that you buy a product that they used on you.

i got my prom make up done at sephora and they didn’t charge or ask me to buy anything….i did because it was my prom and need touch ups for pics… and they aren’t as busy as make so if you want it done right and on time they are the place to go to…. but with make you have to buy at least 40 dollars worth and its not a for sure thing if they will see you or if you will be seen on time and finish on time at mac… also mac is one brand and it is a good brand but sephora has over a 100 brands…..

What is a good starters kit for a first time mac makeup buyer?

What is a good starters kit for a first time mac makeup buyer?
I am 13 and am starting to really get into wearing makeup.
i want to start a MAC collection just like juicystar07(blair) has on youtube.
i am getting tan for the summer time, and have brown eyes and brown hair.
i just want to know what would be a good selection of MAC items (brushes and makeup) to start a collection off of.
thank yall so much in advance:)

Your thirteen now. The basics would definitely be eyeliner, concealer, setting powder, blush, eyeshadow, mascara, and lip gloss.

For concealer (about $15.50, I believe): Try MAC Studio Sculpt for under eye circles and zits. It gives very good coverage and the texture of it is great!

For Setting Powder (about $25): Try MAC Mineralized Skinfinish Natural, by the end of the summer you’ll probably need it in medium, but start with light medium at first. I don’t know your exact skin tone though, so ask the MA and they’ll help you find the right shade. Read the rest of this entry »

What do MAC makeup artists uses to clean their lipsticks after using it on another client?

When you go and get your makeup done by any MAC artist, they always dip the lipsticks in some kind of liquid base when they want it clean and what not (or before they use it on you or another client). What is it? Alcohol? If yes, how much percentage? Etc. Please be as specific as possible. Thanks!

——

It is alcohol that are in covered glass beakers at the side of the stand that’s only for our (the makeup artists) use. Though i work in a MAC store, i never have had to fill them up as its my managers job. But, i have a feeling its isopropyl alcohol which is 70%. Its dipped in just to clean all the bacteria off of the lipstick from where people come in toucha nd play with the colors, and to stop the cross contamination of contra-indications when the client puts it on their lips. Though we mostly do prefer to dip it in the alcohol then use a lip brush to apply.
Hope this helps. :)
